ABOUT THE FUNNY FARM
The Funny Farm is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization located in Mobile, Alabama, dedicated to providing a home for elderly, abandoned or neglected animals. We are committed to offering a safe and loving environment where these animals can thrive in their later years. Our mission is to educate the community about animal welfare and the challenges faced by elderly and neglected animals. Through our programs and outreach, we aim to make a meaningful difference in the lives of these animals.
Why "The Funny Farm" ?
The Funny Farm is a permanent home for unwanted animals.
Abused or injured animals may take a little longer to trust, but when they give their heart, it’s forever. With trust, their personalities emerge, often revealing furry or feathered comedians. Among the misfits, the overlooked and outliers at The Funny Farm you will hear exotic birds calling “Here kitty, kitty!” (and laughing when the cats come running) or singing “Merry Christmas!” in July. You may meet a dog that will hide your work gloves, while giving you their best innocent look, or a cat that will lick you on the face when your alarm clock rings to make sure you’re awake. The king of the hill at The Funny Farm is Bumper the goat. Bumper came to us with a serious leg injury, but readily accepted experimental braces… probably because he got to watch television and eat popcorn! Domestic, exotic or farm animals, all in need are forever welcome at The Funny Farm.
